Iceland has become a popular destination in recent years, but few travelers ever make it to Greenland in spite of the lure of its myriad natural wonders. On this multi-center trip, we will introduce you to local people and you’ll get to experience the real culture of these fabulous countries – don’t expect to find just your typical tourist highlights on this itinerary. In September, there’s also a chance to hunt the elusive northern lights. With a special cookery demonstration, time to soak in geothermal hot springs and perhaps the most otherworldly landscapes on offer, don’t miss your chance to explore these magical countries.

Northern Lights

During the tour, your tour host will give a presentation on the northern lights. The chance to see them will depend on the weather forecast each day, but if the opportunity presents itself she will advise on how to take photographs of this natural phenomenon. To see the northern lights dance across the sky in dramatic shapes, colours and patterns is a truly memorable experience.

  • Travel further and explore deeper on a wide-ranging trip that includes stops in Reykjavik, Ilulissat, the Eqi glacier, Haukadalur, Eyjafjallajökull, and Þingvellir National Park, which is a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site
