Dr Angelos Papadopoulos

Dr Angelos Papadopoulos

Dr Angelos Papadopoulos, a resident of Athens, is an experienced archaeologist. His scholarly interests focus primarily on the Bronze Age societies of the Aegean, the Levant and in Cyprus.

He earned his PhD from the University of Liverpool and is currently a faculty member at College Year in Athens, a position that includes in situ teaching at archaeological sites in Crete, the Greek islands, mainland Greece, and in Cyprus. He has been involved in many archaeological projects, surveys and excavations in Greece, Cyprus and the UK. 

Angelos's publications include papers and articles on prehistoric iconography, warfare and the archaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean region. At the moment, he is working on the study of Mycenaean and Cypriot pottery from various sites in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the publication of an Early Bronze Age cemetery in western Cyprus.
